School has officially started in Louisville and the surrounding counties, so one would think that the long days of summer fun are over. Not so! The Kentucky State Fair with all of its attractions is in town. Among this festival of rides, deep-fried fair foods, show and farm animals and vendors you will find a multitude of homemade delicacies and hand crafted items in the South Wing. A rainbow of colored ribbons adorn this mastery of the arts, including the nine painting entered by the Residents from St. Joseph’s Home. Through the skillful guidance of professional artist and teacher Ben Reynolds, a collection of the work that was submitted earned the group a Fourth Place award. Congratulations to all of our artists and a big “Thank You to Ben, who donates his time once a month to teach their class. The paintings will be on display at St. Joseph’s Home for the Holiday’s Wine Tasting to be held at the Home on October 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For tickets and more information, please contact the Home.
