SOS sends needed aid to the Little Sisters in Louisville
St. Joseph’s assistant director of nursing, Tonya Neely, when recently reading the Courier-Journal, spotted a segment titled: GOOD NEWS, by Veda Morgan. This series of articles is about how in the midst of this coronavirus crisis people were doing amazingly kind things for others.
This particular article was about the organization SOS (Supplies Over Seas) who are known for redistributing surplus medical supplies to medically impoverished communities in developing countries, and right here at home. They had already donated more than $500,000 worth of medical supplies to organizations in and around Louisville.
After reading the article, Tonya wondered if they would be able to help out the Little Sisters; who were down to their last box of thermometer probs. After a quick phone call, the answer was a resounding “Yes!” “When can you pick them up?”
Was it Divine Providence? We believe so! St. Joseph sent out an SOS and they answered!
Thank you, Supplies Over Seas, we are extremely grateful to you for providing for our elderly poor.
