Halloween 2022

  • November 5, 2022
Halloween 2022

It has been a tradition for as long as anyone can remember that the Residents, staff and volunteers at Little Sisters would invite their children, grandchildren and neighbors to dress up for Halloween and trick or treat with the Residents. Many of the Residents would dress up and sit in their doorway, as little super heroes, not-so-scary ghosts, good witches, bumble bees, cats and even a shark would visit each door with their little bag or bucket in hand saying, “trick or treat.” Of course, there were never any tricks but the Residents were delighted to fill their bags with treats.

Covid, of course, changed this exchange of smiles and laughter for sweet treats, to a parade of costumes outside the Residents’ windows. This year, trying to regain a little bit of what was, many of the Residents joined the festivities outside! It was delight to see the smiles on young and senior faces as the tradition continued.
