A Special Guest!
A delay in our celebration of St. Jeanne Jugan’s Feast day did not dampen the excitement when we did gather. Homemade crepes, and Merci’ chocolate was on the menu. Shortly after the festivities began, St. Jeanne Jugan stepped right out of the pages of history to share her story and how through God’s providence the foundation of the Little Sisters of the Poor was born. Jeanne, portrayed by Tamara Thompson, our seamstress, must have been out with her collecting basket in the wee morning hours, because at the end of her oration she went around and greeted each Resident with a wonderful fresh baked French muffin.
