A New Horizon

A New Horizon

January 23, 2021, marks the dawn of a new day at the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph’s Home in Louisville Kentucky, as Residents, Sisters and staff lined up and rolled up their sleeves to receive the first of their two Pfizer Vaccines.

Watching the CVS Pharmacy staff of pharmacists and nurses enter the building and unpack their vials of serum and syringes was somewhat emotional; it was a light at the end of a dark and lonely tunnel. It has been a long eleven months since the pandemics’ first Kentucky patient was diagnosed on March the 6, 2020.

Our Human Resource Director, Brian Mudd gave the whole process a thumbs up as CVS nurse Danelle gave him his dose.

In keeping with the mission of our activity department, to always bring a little joy into the lives of those at St. Joseph’s, they provided a second injection of cherry Jello to help take the sting out of the vaccine and add a little humor.
