My name is Kelly Mahoney and I am the Director of Social Services at St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged. Our admissions process begins with a conversation with myself or Sister Maureen, our administrator. What we hope to find out from you or your family member is:

  • How old are you and do you have the financial eligibility to enter our Home?
  • What is your current living situation?
  • What are your current needs and health concerns?
  • What are your hopes and expectations of you and your family upon entering a long-term care facility?

Please come prepared to answer these questions. We want to know if we can meet your needs and desires and those of your family. If this seems to be the case, I will arrange a time to meet with you and your family to prepare an application for the Home.

We do not usually admit anyone from the community directly into our skilled nursing wing.
We try to reserve these rooms for Residents who are in personal care or our apartments
and have come to need a higher level of care.

If we do not meet your needs, we will suggest other facilities that may work for
you and your family.
